Community classes are a good opportunity for beginners to try the instruction and see if they are interested. As students move up the ranks, they usually want to train at the studio, where there are advanced students on hand to help, instruct and challenge them. At the studio, as well, students will train one-on-one with Grandmaster Yang himself.
Youth and adult students are treated the same. There are not separate classes or separate ranks for youth and adults.
Our rank system is very standard. We don’t have a ranking system that says because you are 8 years old, you have a different rank or a junior rank and then you start over as an adult. There is equality between ages. There is customization but not preferential treatment. You have to adjust for physical ability. But kids have to pay attention and have the same intensity as adults.
Because all members are treated equally, there is one set of affordable rates for all students. Please see our Membership page for details on payment and rates. We have a great deal for families.
